I found my yoga practice on the full moon of May, 2012 while going through a challenging time in my life. I’m blessed that the teacher

on that first class believed in the whole yoga approach, rather than only asanas. After releasing emotions through sweat and tears, the

spiritual lessons I learned in just one class made me fall in love with yoga and caused me to yearn for more. I am a recovered drug

addict and have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperativity Disorder. Yoga and meditation have

helped me to become more mindful in my daily life by slowing down and staying in the moment, and therefore not dependent on pills

for ADD.

 

I work as a community program director for a city and I own a small business making custom hula hoops and teaching hoop classes.

Additionally, I teach kids’ yoga through a local studio that contracts for after school programs and do free community workshops. I

hope to use yoga as a way to help heal people holistically.
