Deependra BhattSince childhood, I have seen my home as a center of spiritual talks. I used to copy my Grandpa doing pranayama in lotus pose and other asanas. My uncle was my second teacher for Yoga. He was really strict to make us do difficult asanas.

The life passed by. Everybody was planning their future carrier. But I could not decide even after my MBA. We started calling Guru from India to do Yoga camps. My friend Neeraj did Ayurveda while Yoga was my job. In the meantime, Swami Ramdev who was responsible to create public awareness to do Yoga came to Kathmandu. We joined him. I worked as a volunteer (Secretory to central Committee of PYP) for 10 years teaching his style of yoga throughout Nepal.

We succeeded in forming Yoga Committees in all the 75 district of Nepal.   I was awarded a scholarship for Masters degree in Yoga Science, from Haridwar, India (2012-2014) against my service. Also, I had to work for the Department of Research on Yoga Philosophy. I was responsible for providing data of ancient Yoga scriptures from Department of Archaeology, Kathmandu. That really helped me understand Yoga better. I always wanted to be a Yogi and here I am. Om

Then only he came to know for the first time about authentic meaning and magnitude of yoga. He stayed at Manokranti Matrix Gurukul. The time he spent in gurukul harnessed and honed him on the field of yoga and meditation. He studied about yoga from the direct teaching of Dr. Yogi Vikasananda who is one of the powerful Himalayan yogis. During his stay as a disciple he also helped in writing and collecting information for the book named ‘Scientific Manokranti Yoga’. He learned Hath Yoga specifically focusing on the system of Scientific Manokranti Yoga propounded and formulated by his guru Dr. Yogi Vikasananda. He then moved to Mysore, India where he got certification of 200 Hours Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Training Course. The vital suggestion of his friend, Uttam Muktan, Guinness World Record Holder on ‘Longest Yoga Marathon’, made him decide to go to Mysore, the place where Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga was popularized and practiced by the great guru Shri Tirumalai Krishnmacharya and his disciple Shri. K. Pattabhi Jois. The devotion and inspiration of Mr. Nabin received new height when he experienced the precious learning environment and the deeper understanding on yoga. Also he did 500 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Course in Hatha yoga. The study and visit to Himalayas, saints, ashrams in Nepal enhanced his horizon and developed his perspective on yoga and its integrated aspect of life, along with he also met the yoga enthusiasts from around the globe which also played the role of inspiration and synergy to move on in connection to Yoga.
